How It began:
The Suriname office of the American Chamber of
Commerce, which was initiated in 2002 by the former US
ambassador to Suriname, the honorable Mr. Daniel Johnson.
Together with a few Surinamese business men which have the US
companies as their leading trade partners is operating for more
than a year now.
It has been a year of many trials and minor
complications, but luckily we’ve managed to survive and move on.
In order to achieve our goals and to complete our mission being
the leading organization to promote, stimulate and facilitate
free trade and investment between the republic of Suriname and
the rest of the world through the international network of the
American Chamber of Commerce, the board has taken some actions
One of our goals is also to make the amcham more visible in both
our community and the international community. |
